My grandfather and I ate here a few days ago. We had breakfast. I had an omelette which was very good. My grandfather has biscuits and gravy. The gravy tasted horrible. No flavor at all. Tasted like gravy from a packet with no pepper or sausage. Would go back and try lunch. Service was good. Everyone was friendly

Super cute little diner, friendly service, and tasty food! We split a western omelet, biscuits & gravy with a side of bacon. Everything was delicious. Diner temperature was a little warm, but it was hot outside. Prices were fairly reasonable $35+tip to split a meal is a little steep though!

All I can say is TOO GOOD . I went here for the first time this morning with my friend and the food was AMAZING . I only got a picture after I already ate some of my pancake and all of my eggs but it was good I forgot to take a pic. I would recommend coming down to Crystal's for breakfast. I think they close at 3pm but the breakfast is good enough. They do have lunch foods available also. Come down and ask for Stephanie she is great

Very friendly, they don't speak Spanish so you have to read the menu carefully or use an app, although the person who served us was very friendly and helpful, the food was very good, but it's not something we do the same or cook much.

Like others mention, the food is good (the potatoes could use some flavor), but the service is slow. Not a knock on anyone. Everyone was trying their best to keep up with the crowd, but it should be quicker than waiting 43 minutes for my order at a diner. Pictured is the #1 breakfast platter.

We are from out of state and we always try to find little mom and pop shops to eat at. They never disappoint. Support local

Nestled in the heart of Mt Washington, Kentucky, Crystal's Country Diner invites you to experience hearty, homestyle comfort with a modern diner twist. Located at 1123 N Bardstown Rd, this cozy spot stands out for its classic American dishes crafted with care and generous portions that satisfy both breakfast lovers and midday diners alike.

The menu reads like a celebration of Southern flavors—fluffy pancakes, creamy grits, and savory biscuits and gravy set a warm tone. The Western Omelette with Country Ham caught my attention immediately, combining bold, smoky ham with fresh eggs cooked to perfection. It’s no surprise that customers like Amy Gant praise the omelet as the best they've tasted. The Barnyard Burger and Fish Filet Sandwich offer comfort with a friendly, diner-style flair, while side offerings like bacon and smashed taters round out the experience with satisfying texture and taste.

Diving deeper into the more unique offerings, the Brisket Green Beans with Apples and Cornbread stands out, marrying smoky, slow-cooked brisket with a slightly sweet twist and traditional cornbread, delivering both soul and substance on a plate. Meanwhile, the Chicken Fried Steak and the Patty Melt Sad Attempt provide classic diner indulgence, evoking nostalgia through their rich flavors and hearty servings.

Service here is consistently noted for its friendliness and warmth, contributing to the inviting atmosphere of this country diner. While some reviews mention variability in certain dishes like the gravy, the overall sentiment reflects a genuine love for the food and a welcoming vibe. Whether you’re stopping in for a leisurely breakfast or a casual lunch, Crystal’s offers a blend of traditional diner favorites with Southern charm, making it a noteworthy destination for those craving comfort food that feels like home.

In essence, Crystal's Country Diner isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to savor authentic flavors, enjoy heartfelt service, and reconnect with the essence of American diner cuisine. If you appreciate well-crafted, hearty meals served in a friendly setting, this diner deserves your visit.
